We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Maintenance Technician to support maintenance operations across our production facility. This role is responsible for executing routine and emergency maintenance tasks on a wide range of production equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate is proactive, hands-on, and committed to maintaining optimal uptime and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment including stranders, dryers, sifters, and pilot line systems.
  • Respond to maintenance requests promptly and follow escalation procedures when necessary.
  • Inspect mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to identify issues or inefficiencies.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and system improvements as directed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and complete work orders in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with production staff to minimize downtime and support operational goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area.
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in regular safety audits and training.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience in an industrial maintenance role (manufacturing or production environment preferred).
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair common equipment issues.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and lockout/tagout protocols.
  • Forklift experience preferred (or willingness to be certified upon hire).
  • Able to lift 50 lbs consistently throughout the shift.
  • Must be dependable, self-directed, and able to follow written and verbal procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.

Additional Requirements

  • Standard hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Must be available for flexible scheduling, including earlier or later shifts, as maintenance needs and production demands vary.
  • Occasional weekend work may be required to support equipment uptime and project work.
