Responsibilities
- Provide electrical maintenance support to proactively identify and prevent failure points in operations equipment by interpreting operator feedback and understanding machine status indications and electrical control functions to recommend action
- Maintain, test, and repair a diverse array of electrical systems and components, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, controllers, relays, contactors, amplifiers, transformers, fuses, sensors, and other similar systems
- Take ownership and execute industrial automation projects, in collaboration with engineers and technicians from different groups
- Read, interpret, correct, and maintain electrical drawings and diagrams as needed in the execution of daily tasks
- Collaborate as a multidisciplinary team member with manufacturing, build, and design colleagues to prioritize tasks and future investments
- Assist engineering in the design, installation, start up, shut down, and planned maintenance of new or modified equipment
- Work with controls engineering to adapt schematics and assemble electrical control panels for new installations and existing equipment upgrades
- Serve as a liaison between controls and build for controls hardware mounting and overall cable management
- Support the development and population of data acquisition and control systems
- Maintain high standards for workmanship and housekeeping before, during, and after work, and contribute to cleanliness and organization in shared areas
- Perform daily task prioritization including risk mitigation on current and upcoming projects

Basic Qualifications
- 1-3 years of electrical technical support experience in an industrial environment, or a two-year technical degree in Industrial Systems, Electrical/Electronics Technology, or similar
- Experience in panel building, modifications, and general wiring practices for industrial power and control systems
- Understanding of industrial networking protocols and communication over OPC-UA
- PLC, HMI, and VFD experience with demonstrated proficiency in Function Block Diagrams, Structured Text, and Ladder Logic
- Ability to maintain, test, and troubleshoot failures in industrial electrical hardware from machine malfunctions
- Understanding and experience with troubleshooting and tuning PID controllers
- Ability to work non-regular hours when needed to support 24/7 operations
- Ability to obtain Powered Industrial Truck and Aerial Lift Equipment certifications on site

Desired Skills and Experience
- Prior experience with bulk material conveyance, heat presses, sheet good handling, and coordinated continuous processes
- Certificates in Industrial Electrical Systems, PLCs, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, or Industrial Maintenance
- Familiarity with programming in CODESYS
- Familiarity programming and setting up Linux devices
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70E (Standard for Electrical Safety), NFPA 79 & UL508A codes
- Experience with industrial bus protocols such as Modbus, Profinet and EtherNet/IP
- Ability to appropriately select and size electrical and electromechanical components
- Experience in a 24/7 manufacturing reliability management system
