About the role
We are looking for a Freelance Senior Designer with Art Direction experience, working 4 days per week to join our team in our Milan or London office. This role will play a central part in the creative and commercial expansion of our brand.
The designer will be responsible to ensure that the brand name & vision are aligned through all medias including but not limited to content, website, packaging, product branding and guidelines.
Branding is important in the process of creating an elevated brand image. In this position, the Senior Graphic designer will be central to the development process, ensuring the inputs of our CMO and the wider team are implemented.
Likewise, they will align brand, marketing and ecom teams on typography and brand design. Creating high quality design solutions by directly executing design and leveraging internal/external design resources.
The ideal candidates will take their craft seriously, but also enjoy designing quick hits for laughs and likes. The work environment at Pangaia is fast-paced and energetic; no day is ever the same.
A day in the life
• Creative lead and creation of digital assets and content
• Overview of the look and feel of the website and newsletter
• Lead and manage the branding and graphic design projects process from research stage through final execution
• Follow up on all designs through meetings with the Marketing team and facilitates any variants and modifications on designs.
• Challenge the team and translate the ideas of the Creative team to the next level.
• Being responsible of all label designs, artwork, guidelines
• Work closely with team members to insure design development aligns with the branding guideline and vision.
• Collaborates productively between graphic design, ecom, digital, marketing, merchandising and product departments
• Work closely with agency to brief them about our vision
• 8 years of hands-on brand and packaging/graphic design/art direction experience and Bachelor’s Degree in Design
• Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite software
• Strong typography skills, conceptual design skills
• 360 brand design experience (i.e., print, packaging, digital, environmental, experiential)
• Illustration, photo retouching, film editing, motion design knowledge
• 3D and Coding knowledges are a significant plus
• Extraordinary design taste and expertise with an excellent sense of design trends
• Ability to work in an agile, dynamic work environment with a start-up mentality
• Strong stakeholder relationship management - effectively influence at all levels in the organisation, as well as across regions and functions
• Demonstrates strong verbal and written skills, with internal and external business partners
• Ability to multitask.
