Role description:

We are seeking a proactive Finance Manager with an eye for detail to join their team in Vila Nova de Famalicão (Portugal). In the role of Finance Manager, you will be responsible for safeguarding the company’s financial integrity and ensuring compliance within the policy, regulatory and contractual framework. This hands-on position is ideal for a professional with strong analytical abilities, commercially driven and a solid grasp of accounting principles. The applicant also needs a strategic approach to financial management. You will work with the Head of Finance and partner across finance and operations teams to drive impactful, cross-functional results. This is an office based role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounting and financial reporting for the entity in Portugal•Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • Guarantee the monthly accounting and reporting, treasury management, credit control, inventory management, forecasts and fiscal responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and corporate governance requirements
  • Collaborate with management, accountants, auditors and vendors to ensure seamless financial processes
  • Provide financial support to other companies in the Colorifix Group
  • Provide financial insights to support long-term business strategies
  • Prepare budgets segregated by processes and departments
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the financial integrity of the organization.
  • Support various HR tasks
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Previous relevant working experience (4+ years) within financial accounting and/or reporting
  • Strong expertise in Management Accounting and Corporate Finance
  • Deep knowledge of Accounting principles and standards
  • Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system is preferred
  • Microsoft Excel proficient
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese (both oral and written) - mandatory
  • Applicants must have a valid work visa for Portugal
